Super Saturday

Waiting our turn in line.
Woman in the red is holding the bear cub.
Woman in red is retrieving the bear cub from the boy.
Today was a Super Saturday for our family. We woke up early, got everyone dressed, hopped in the car and headed to a secret destination. Jason surprised us with a trip to see baby bears at a local sporting store. They flew in six black bear cubs from Yellowstone. The kids were ecstatic! Kirby was like, "Aww, he is just so cuddly!!!" I was thinking, yep, for now! It was a great day!(Sorry, the pics in the store were really dark, but it is a memory.)

The Best Husband, EVER!!!

I must have the world's greatest husband! Jason came home from giving blood yesterday, and after a full day's work, and surprised the kids with a trip to see Horton Hears A Who. They didn't know where they were going, but they were so excited to go with Daddy. He even took Tys! They loaded up on Twizzlers, and popcorn and then off to the grocery store to pick out a special dinner. Tys picked chicken nuggets, (of course), Mykee Rhea picked chicken legs, and Kirbs picked french bread pizza. Then we hit baths, scriptures and bed time. They were exhausted! What a fun day for them. I was excited, because it was the first time in years I was home totally alone. I didn't really know what to do with myself, so in honor of Erin I watched a Run's House marathon.
I'm grateful that they have a dad that takes special time just for them and that thinks about them days in advance. We are truly blessed to have Jason in our lives, and I thank Heavenly Father every night for such a wonderful husband! I love you, Jason!

Tys Rix

My sweet, sweet boy! My heart sings with JOY when I see his smiling face! Tys has added so much enthusiasm for life to our family! I'm so grateful for his shining spirit! Last night, we had an extra choir rehearsal. Several members of the choir began to say how much they love Tys. The pianist is his nursery leader and she was so glad that he was a happy, active boy and that it made nursery more enjoyable. The choir director has watched Tys a few times for me and just adores Tys. It makes my HEART fill with such emotion over how much I love my sweet son! We love you, Tys, we are so grateful our Heavenly Father sent you to us!

Puppet Show Fun!

Play-Doh Paraphenalia

Today we switched satellite providers. Of course, they didn't come at eight when expected, it was closer to noon. By then I had already contained my children and dog for close to four hours. Once the guy got here, we decided instead of more movies in a secluded room, we would pull out the Play-doh and create. I felt it necessary to let my creativity flow as well, so as to avoid the mounting, massive laundry pile calling my name. In my creative endeavors, I've learned that Play-doh cakes are far less time-consuming than real cakes, and that it was just as much fun. Enjoy!!!

Gratitude

I've been thinking a lot lately about gratitude. I've been very blessed in my life with family and friends that truly reach out and care for me. I know none of this comes by accident, but that the Lord has seen fit to provide me with a wonderful circle of support. To all of our wonderful family and friends, I love you very much. I'm grateful for those of you who have fully supported us. Thank you for all that you do and all that you are!!! We love you!!!

Pajama Party

Kirby and Mykee were invited to a friend's house where they enjoyed an afternoon of movies, treats, and jammie fun! They painted fingernails and lounged with their blankets, pillows and sleeping bags. There was no special occasion, just good 'ol fashioned fun. I love to see my children happy and enjoying life. There is truly no greater joy for me, as their mother.
