Geaux Tigers!!!

This is the LSU outfit that we brought Kirby home from the hospital in. The blanket was knit by our home teacher's wife! She did an awesome job! Jason especially loved this new gift. I was excited to catch Fallon's eyes wide open. What a sweetie. We love to immerse our children in the spirit of LSU. We look forward to yet another awesome football season! Geaux Tigers!!!

My Little Fallon

These are some sweet pictures Jason took of our newest little princess. She is an angel. I'm so grateful to have her sweet spirit in our home. I LOVE BEING A MOTHER!!!

That's My Boy!!!

Eating is an experience for Tys. It has very little to do with sustenance. These pictures represent just how much he LOVES food. Spaghetti was the entree of choice. There is also a cute picture of Jason and Tys that they took of themselves. Those boys have to stick together, especially now that the gender scale is totally off balance in our home!

Gardening with Daddy

Jason loves to garden. Saturday we loaded everyone up and went to the local IFA store to pick seeds and plants to garden. My three oldest kids spent the entire evening digging and planting with their dad. Tys is not seen in these pictures, because by the time we took them, he literally was muddy from head-to-toe and was in the tub. From what I hear, he was a very big helper. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we look forward to eating the fruits of our labor!!!

Wheeler Farm

Kirby had a school field trip last week to Wheeler Farm. I did not attend, but a dear friend of mine took both of my girls as well as her own two girls!!! From my understanding, it is an animal farm and the kids had a picnic lunch and toured the farm with the preschool. The teacher celebrated the kids birthdays with some birthday treat bags. Kirby was very excited to get hers and has been toting it around for the past week. Enjoy!

Four Sweet Kids

I am SO thankful that a loving Father in Heaven has sent me kids that love one another. There is no greater joy in motherhood than seeing your children love and serve one another. What a joy! My kids love their new sister and enjoy spending as much time as possible with her. Kirby stood on a chair last night to read Fallon a story while she laid in her crib. Tys calls Fallon "My Baby." Myklin was so excited to hold her sister after her fever subsided. My kids love each other so much. I am so very grateful for their example of Christlike love.

I was excited to see the cow outfit on Fallon Reese. We brought little Myklin Rhea home in this outfit to her barnyard room. It is so fun to reuse my old girl clothes, it's been almost four years!!!

Visits from Family

My mom and dad have been in town helping out. Today, my younger sister, Stacey and her husband, Jeff are both graduating with their Master's from BYU so my littlest sister, Erin came into town as well as my Grandma and Grandpa Adams. We were able to snap a few shots of them holding my two little ones, as Kirby and Myklin were on a field trip with Kirby's school. Thanks for coming, Grandma and Grandpa!

It's a....

GIRL!!!! Fallon Reese Davis was born Saturday, April 19th, 2008 at 12:25AM. We had no name for her until late last night at about 11PM and I came home this morning, and so we opted not to blog until we did, so thanks for your patience! The suspense was just killin' ya, I'm sure!!! ;) Fallon weighed 6lbs. 5oz. at birth and was 18 inches long. My kids LOVE her! Kirby and Myklin ran in yelling, "Oh Fallon, we just love you so much!" Tys ran in saying, "Baby, Baby, Awwww!" Everyone was kissing and hugging her so very sweetly. We are so excited to bring this sweet angel in to our home and look forward to the wonderful years that lie ahead! Welcome to the World, Fallon Reese Davis!!!!

Mykee's New Ariel Bed

This past weekend, we moved our entire house around. Myklin graduated from her toddler day bed to a big girl twin bed that matches Kirby's. The girls share a room and are thrilled to have matching beds. Today we got her new comforter and the look was "complete" enough to share a photo. (That white square behind the head of her bed is the access to some of the pipes, as the girls are in a basement bedroom.) Enjoy, folks!

Pregnancy Thoughts

As we prepare to go into the hospital tomorrow for the induction of our 4th little one, many thoughts are swirling in my head. I am excited, of course, but it is always bittersweet to see one of life's chapters come to an end. This is the end of me being a mother of three, and the beginning of me being a mother of four. The funny thing is, that I always feel this way, and as soon as I walk through my door with my new little one, I can't imagine life without them. But for today, I can't imagine life with my unknown new friend.

I LOVE being pregnant. I really enjoy everything about it. I don't mind the little hiccups, they secede. I am so thankful that I've had this opportunity to carry this little one. I hope to have a few more!!!;)

There is so much to be grateful for. I am grateful that my kids are excited about their new sibling. I am grateful to have had four healthy pregnancies. I am grateful that I have the opportunity in this life to be a mother and to be a wife. I am grateful for a husband that pitches in and helps. (Especially his delicious cooking!!!) I am grateful for the health of my children. I am grateful for my health and for Jason's health. I am grateful for friends that uplift me. I am grateful for friends and neighbors that have helped so much with babysitting. I am grateful for a roof over my head. I am grateful for food to eat. I am grateful for TWO VEHICLES! I am grateful for furniture, because I have lived without it. I am grateful for health care. I am grateful for Jason's job. (SUCH A BLESSING!!!) I am grateful for my good doctor. I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for my children. I am grateful for my mother and father. I am grateful for my grandparents and their legacy. I am grateful for my sister's and their examples. I am grateful for LSU. (Just seeing if you were paying attention, but really I am grateful for LSU.) I am grateful for my education. I am grateful for my talents. I am grateful for the opportunities I have to serve my fellowmen and my Savior.

I could go on forever, I am very grateful for the countless things that I have been given in my life and for the many blessings that are to follow. Thank you to all of you for your support and love during this wonderful pregnancy. I love you all. Wish me luck tomorrow!!!

Sustaining the Prophet of God

On Saturday, April 5th, 2008, the entire world had the opportunity to sustain President Thomas Spencer Monson as the Prophet of God. I do not remember doing so for President Hinckley or President Hunter, and would not for President Benson, but I was touched as this sacred act was performed. The Spirit was so strong in our home as I stood and added my sustaining vote to the millions of others for President Monson.
I am ever so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father that provides us with the opportunity to have a Prophet. This world is becoming the place that the Scriptures say it will become. Life is getting difficult. What a blessing to have a mouth-piece for the Lord!
I wanted to bear my testimony to all of you, that I truly know that President Monson is our Prophet in these Latter-days. I know that the Gospel was restored to the Earth, through the Prophet Joseph Smith and I am ever-so grateful for all that the Lord has seen fit to provide us with during this dispensation. I know that the scriptures truly contain the Word of God. The Book of Mormon is a true book. I am impressed every time I read it, with how a loving Heavenly Father is so able to tailor the Book of Mormon's messages to us as individuals at different times in our lives. Most importantly, I know our Savior, Jesus Christ lives! He loves us! He knows us! He wants us to succeed. He is our FRIEND! I have come to know this personally, and am so very thankful for the opportunities my Lord has provided me with in my life thus far to come unto Him. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true! It is exciting to have such a fullness of knowledge and to teach my children. I am grateful for my eternal role in my family, for the opportunities I have to stretch and grow and for all my Heavenly Father hath seen fit to bless me with. I say these things, in the solemn name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Girls Night In!!!

Saturday night, during the Priesthood Session of Conference, the girls and I got Tys in bed early, sent daddy off to the stake center with his friend, and had a fabulous night of pampering ourselves. I was the lucky recipient of a new hairdo and the girls were taught how to properly take photographs with Mommy and Daddy's camera. It was just so relaxing and enjoyable!

Spring Conference, 2008

During Conference at our house, we turn on all radios, Internet and television so as to flood our family with the Spirit no matter where we go in our house. The kids have a "free day" and are allowed to wear whatever they want, (this weekend they chose dress-ups). We had our good friends over for lunch in between sessions on Sunday and I made cookies. As you can see, Tys helped himself...It was a wonderful weekend, and I'm grateful that we were able to spend time together as a family while we listened to the beautiful messages prepared for us.

The Greatest Dad Ever, Part Two!!!

Sunday after Conference, Jason helped Tys build an enormous train track on the stairs. After they were finished, Jason, Tys, and the other kids proceeded to run the trains down the track. They had a blast, until it was time for bed...

Jason smoked some ribs and a turkey all day Saturday during Conference. My kids LOVED the ribs! I think Tys is the clear winner...
