A NEW CAR!!!

Yesterday we bought a new car!!! (Well, new for us!) We are so excited! Our kids have been praying on a daily basis for a "new miniban." Kirby put everything into perspective for me the other day when she said, "What are we going to do with our black truck? Who are we going to give that to?" I replied, "Well, we are going to keep it so we have two cars." She responded, "TWO CARS!!! THAT IS INCREDIBLE!!!"

I am grateful for the opportunity Heavenly Father has presented us with to have two safe vehicles. I am grateful that we were in a position to buy one. I am so very thankful that my family will fit into our new van come April 22nd. It never ceases to amaze me that our Loving Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. I'm glad we learned to "make it work" with one vehicle. I enjoyed our early morning runs to Jason's various work places over the last 3 1/2 years. Or humbling myself enough to call a friend and ask for a ride somewhere when Jason had the truck for the day. We've learned A LOT! I'm so very thankful for the opportunity I've had to learn patience and humility, and learn to be thankful for what we have. And most importantly, learn to work together as a family. I'm sure my kids will enjoy their new found space and freedom of not having three car seats right in a row. I am ever-so grateful that our truck has run smoothly and safely to carry our growing family back and forth across the country three times. I am thankful for these great many blessings in my life.

Golden Girls

For those of you that aren't familiar with LSU and many of the University's traditions, there exists a group called the Golden Girls. It is the prestigious dance team that dances with the band and does a lot of publicity for the University. We went out shopping several weeks ago up in Park City, and I came across these great outfits, and most certainly could not pass them up! Happy Spring!

Today was just wonderful in Sacrament Meeting. Being the Ward Music Chairperson, I had the opportunity to do a musical program for yet another wonderful holiday! We had the choir sing, a vocal soloist, a piano soloist, and the primary sang. It was just beautiful. Sandwiched in between, were two wonderful talks on the Atonement. The Spirit was really there. Jason and I were asked to substitute Mykee's Sunbeam Class. It was incredible, because the lesson was on "I Am Thankful for Fish!" Of course, Jason thought that was pretty amazing, as he is such an avid fisherman. We had a fun time letting the kids "fish" out of a bucket. It was a wonderful day. I am so grateful for the Atonement. I can truly testify that Jesus Christ lives! He is the Son of a Living God, who loves us and knows us. I am so grateful for my Redeemer and for His sacrifice. I am grateful that my kids are aware of the Savior and His purpose. It has been a privilege to teach them. On to our traditions...Before church, our kids went on a hunt for their Easter Baskets. (The bunny hides theirs.) They were excited to finally wear their new Easter clothes and we loaded up on pictures. We also painted eggs, this afternoon. Enjoy, Happy Easter!

Jason grew up having a crawfish boil on Good Friday every year. We decided to keep the tradition alive here in Herriman. We had planned to travel to Blackfoot, Idaho for the Easter weekend to visit my Grandparents, but in the end, felt it best to stay put with the birth of our new baby so close. So, the Davis' family tradition lives on at the Davis' household instead! Enjoy!
