THIRTY-THREE!!!

Purple ice cream for our Purple Princess
(People said, as Mykee rode on Jason's shoulders, "Hey look, there is a real LSU Cheerleader!!!")
Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream for our Strawberry Princess
(Kirby was so excited to attend the game, as we went through the turn-style, she said, "This is incredible!!!)

Obviously, the only way we can celebrate the birthday of LSU's #1 fan is to attend an LSU game!
Happy Birthday, Jason! We love you!
January 6, 2009, LSU vs. Utah @ Utah. We tucked our two littlest beans into bed and with the help of our awesome neighbor, (Thanks, Jae!!!) we ventured off into the night with our biggest LSU cheerleaders. It was so fun. We brought all of our gear, and had a blast. As we were leaving, people said, "Well you guys sure look cute, even though your team lost!" It was a memory, that's for sure :)!
Final Score:
LSU 61 - Utah 91
Geaux Tigers!!!
(We are not bandwagoners!!!)

A Horse is a Horse, of Course, of Course

For her Birthday Mykee asked for two things: A five dollar Princess Camera, and "A real, live Unicorn." I said, "Mykee, you know that unicorns are only pretend, right, they are not real." She said, "Why yes mom, I already knew that, but I still really want one." So, I made a Unicorn horn out of poster board, tin foil, and elastic. A good friend of mine from the Stake High Counsel (Thanks Brother Sivertsen!) owns horses and agreed to let us turn his horse into a Unicorn as a birthday surprise for Myk Rhea. The horse didn't care for the horn, so we weren't able to use it, but Myklin didn't mind a bit. It was a fun birthday activity to do as a family with pizza afterwards. Happy Fourth, Mykee!!! We love you!

A Parenting Milestone...

Christmas of 2008 will forever hold a special place in my heart for this scene seen here. It makes me realize that through all of the tribulation, trials, effort, ups, downs, etc., my sweet children, if but for a small moment, understand where importance lies.

A Special Day to Remember

Although it may be a lot of pictures of one event, it is not enough pictures for me. It is not often that I get to spend one-on-one time with my kids out and about. This was a special day that we had just for the two of us. We went to The Little Gym as a birthday surprise for Mykee. After class, it was lunchtime so we picked up a Happy Meal, played at the playland and enjoyed an ice cream cone. I love you, Myklin. I loved spending special time with just you!
Love,
Mom
