"My Sister, My Friend"

I have had a lot of time to think about this. Both Stacey and Erin leaving the area that we all called home at the same time; leaving me behind. But, with all of the time and all of the hype, it still isn't easy. We all have grown up. I moved away TEN years ago, off to an adventure [understatement] in Louisiana. My adventure path brought me to UT, back to LA and back to UT. My sister's paths brought them straight to UT. Stacey and I had 3 years together here in UT. I LOVE thinking back. What fun!!! Then it was time for Erin to head this way. And I left. Leaving Erin and Stacey to enjoy one another. Then I came back and we had one fabulous year together. And now they are gone and I am alone. Erin is off doing wonderful things in the great potato state, and Stace made her way back East to join Jeff in his quest for PHDDOM in the great state of Michigan. Best of luck to you both. Stacey, you will gain a greater perspective of motherhood, as now you will truly have unlimited amounts of time to do so. Erin, I hope you find in Idaho what you didn't see in Utah. You will both be sorely missed. I love you with all my heart and I long for the day when we can all be together again. Time to pull out those webcams!!!! Love and hugs....Jamie

Ode To Erin

My sister bought this outfit for Baby #1, which was a surprise baby for us. Baby #1 turned out to be our Kirby girl, so she did not wear this outfit. My mom had it stashed away for Baby #2, which turned out to be sweet little Mykee Rhea, and my mom kept it stashed away. 20 months later, Baby #3 was our first little boy! My mom brought the outfit to Louisiana, where Tys Rix was born and I've had it ever since. Today, I pulled it out of his closet and for the first time in 6 years, Erin's baby shower gift was finally worn!!! Thanks for your pick, E, and thanks to Mom for keeping it a fun surprise for our first McKoy Boy. (No cheesy grins from this almost-two-year-old, he is in his "I refuse to look at the camera and pose, stage.")

Visits from Family

My mom and dad have been in town helping out. Today, my younger sister, Stacey and her husband, Jeff are both graduating with their Master's from BYU so my littlest sister, Erin came into town as well as my Grandma and Grandpa Adams. We were able to snap a few shots of them holding my two little ones, as Kirby and Myklin were on a field trip with Kirby's school. Thanks for coming, Grandma and Grandpa!

The Best Husband, EVER!!!

I must have the world's greatest husband! Jason came home from giving blood yesterday, and after a full day's work, and surprised the kids with a trip to see Horton Hears A Who. They didn't know where they were going, but they were so excited to go with Daddy. He even took Tys! They loaded up on Twizzlers, and popcorn and then off to the grocery store to pick out a special dinner. Tys picked chicken nuggets, (of course), Mykee Rhea picked chicken legs, and Kirbs picked french bread pizza. Then we hit baths, scriptures and bed time. They were exhausted! What a fun day for them. I was excited, because it was the first time in years I was home totally alone. I didn't really know what to do with myself, so in honor of Erin I watched a Run's House marathon.
I'm grateful that they have a dad that takes special time just for them and that thinks about them days in advance. We are truly blessed to have Jason in our lives, and I thank Heavenly Father every night for such a wonderful husband! I love you, Jason!
