Spring Conference, 2008

During Conference at our house, we turn on all radios, Internet and television so as to flood our family with the Spirit no matter where we go in our house. The kids have a "free day" and are allowed to wear whatever they want, (this weekend they chose dress-ups). We had our good friends over for lunch in between sessions on Sunday and I made cookies. As you can see, Tys helped himself...It was a wonderful weekend, and I'm grateful that we were able to spend time together as a family while we listened to the beautiful messages prepared for us.

The Greatest Dad Ever, Part Two!!!

Sunday after Conference, Jason helped Tys build an enormous train track on the stairs. After they were finished, Jason, Tys, and the other kids proceeded to run the trains down the track. They had a blast, until it was time for bed...

Rib Eating Contest

Jason smoked some ribs and a turkey all day Saturday during Conference. My kids LOVED the ribs! I think Tys is the clear winner...

Time for Blogging....

Okay, we have had a wild week...we are trying to get this house ready for a new little one, dealing with Jason being in and out of the hospital (he has an infection, he is just fine), and trying to carry on a "normal" routine....I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ABOUT BLOGGING!!! I apologize to all of you that actually keep up-to-date with our family. But, we are back, here are four new posts to keep you smilin' for awhile! Love ya!

Granny's Surprise Package

Yesterday, we received a surprise package in the mail. Granny sent the kids some new clothes! Tys received a new church shirt and tie, so we will take pics on Sunday of him. Kirby and Myklin LOVED their new outfits, and although it was only in the fifties today, we weren't going out, so I let them wear them. Enjoy! Thanks, Granny!

New Baby, New Big Brother, New Furniture!!!

Tys' room is currently my favorite, because it is the most "finished" in the house. On Saturday, Jason and I set out on a furniture shopping date. We were looking for a new dresser for Tys. I really wanted a black one, and it needed to be sturdy, because, well, it is for Tys! We came across this one at Willy's (it is really called RC Willey's, but Willy's sounds a lot more fun.) I was ecstatic! It was just as I had imagined it would be. Now his train, beloved books, and shelf are all displayed properly! I am grateful for this new piece of furniture. Jason and I haven't bought a lot of furniture ever, so this is a real treat. I was grateful that we were able to do so, and that Tys has a new dresser and now the new babe can have his old one that has been passed down through all FOUR children!!!

Children and Chores

On Tuesday, I reminded Mykee that it was her turn to feed her Sadie Puppy. She gladly pitched in....I don't think our five pound dog will need to eat for about 8 days. (Exaggeration...)
